A cleaner solution is the explicit word NULL. Your way, you may
actually be storing the text string '-0-' in columns.
VALUES (.vnewprefix,.vcourse,.vactive,.breplimit,NULL,.vprereqs,+
.vsfeecode,.#DATE,.brepcode,.brepunits,.vbareaflag)
