Allan,
In Form Designer, under Form Settings the options for:
[ ] Use Password for Form: Read Only Password and Modify
Password
are assigned to a specific user identifier.
A password prevents other users from accessing the
database if they know the user identifier.
Use Password for Form:
Check this option if you want to protect the form with a
password. Only users who enter the correct password can
use the form.
Read Only Password:
If you check "Use Password for Form," enter the password
for the form to allow read-only access.
Modify Password:
If you check "Use Password for Form," enter the password
for the form to allow users to modify data in the form.
A typical scenario to use this option:
If the database has the OWNER PASSWORD and you would like
to give Read Only Password to users with specific password
assigned to that particular form displaying data.
In your case, if that option is grayed out, you need the
OWNER password to change any properties of that particular
form.
Example:
USER OwnerPassword
CONNECT DbName
And then, Form Designer ...
At this point you should be able to Check/Uncheck Use Password
for Form option!
Hope that helps!
Very Best Regards,
Razzak.
