Mike,

The new LAUNCH command in TGRB2000 6.5++ is the KEY here.

If you know the e-mail tags of your default e-mail program,
you could easily achieve that task of automating e-mails
via R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows.

Very simple example, using Eudora Pro (my favorite):

SET VAR vMailTo TEXT = NULL
SET VAR vCustID INTEGER = 2001
SELECT ('mailto:'+EMailAddress) INTO vMailTo INDIC IvMailTo +
FROM Contacts WHERE CustId = .vCustID
LAUNCH .vMailTo

That will launch default e-mail programs with filled in To:

You could follow the same scenario for other e-mail tags,
such as:

Cc:
Bcc:

The "NewStuff Demo" bundled with R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for
Windows beta explains the functionality with examples.

Hope that helps!

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
