RJ,
I maintain an interest in bandwidth technologies for business related
informational purposes, as well as a solid addiction to on-line gaming.
The problem with satellite bandwidth is though you can get high throughput,
it comes with high latency. That means you can say "give me this" and it
will send a boatload of it, in a couple of seconds. The same lag would
happen going back the other direction. If that is OK with your
requirements, then it should be fine.
It just occurs to me to wonder if there would be a problem with solar
flares as well, but that's YOUR research problem. Hehe.
