Thanks Karen (and Dr R),
But this application almost always has SET MES OFF (unless I want an
informational message like how many rows where updated). The SET ERR MES
OFF will suppress system errors like when your Where clause results in no
rows found. Error message number 2059 (No rows exist or satisfy the
specified clause.)
I'm closing in on the problem which appears to be a poorly written where
clause in the Edit using Formname command below:
EDIT USING wkord_edit ORDER BY tk_sdate, wk_prty, eq_nbr, tk_desn, tk_nbr +
WHERE tk_sdate BETWEEN .sdate AND .edate AND tk_nbr IN +
(SELECT tk_nbr FROM tasks WHERE em_nbr = .emnew) AND +
(wk_stat IN (" ",c,i,x) OR wk_stat IS NULL) CAPTION "Work Orders (Open)"
I'll redo it tomorrow when I'm awake. I suspect it is the way I have the
parens.
The conditional setting for Error Messages that Dr Razzak spoke of will
make for much better use of error reporting/supression.
