        The TYPEID are, at any given point in time, fixed and define all of the
functional types.  For this particular application I expect them to be fewer
than ten.  My application sounds somewhat similar to the one you describe so
I'll work with your suggestions and the ones offered by Razzak to see which
appears to be best in this particular case.  I may be back with more
questions.
