Robert,

A while back someone posted the suggestion of using a Windos program
called AUTOMAILER. 

This polls a directory for content at intervals and e-mails out what it
finds (needs constant connection like DSL, LAN). You have R:Base create
a file with e-mail address plus output text and drop it in the
directory.

If that sounds of interest, e-mail me off-list and I'll dig out where to
find it.
