The following two lines in a command file developed in RBWin 6.5+ work like
a charm in RBWin 6.5.
        Without any operator involvement, xldata.dbf is exported to the A: drive,
keymacro.xls opens in Excel providing the operator with instructions which,
when followed, opens xldata.dbf in an Excel spreadsheet performing the
intended function (combining xldata.dbf with xlhead.txt) as it does so. The
operator is then free to do whatever manipulations they want with the data &
header.

========================================
GATEWAY EXPORT DB3P a:xldata.dbf SELECT ALL FROM txldata
ZIP start "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE"
A:keymacro.xls
========================================

        However, in DOS 6.5 (which I don't have access to but the client does) a
RBase menu screen opens asking (not necessarily in the order I am listing
them) Import or Export, file format, output format, table, columns, sort
order, etc. The xldata.dbf file is then properly sent to A: where
xlhead.txt already resides. Excel never opens so keymacro.xls is never
called.

        1) Is there anyway all of the operator involvement required by DOS but not
WIN can be eliminated?
        2) Why isn't the ZIP to Excel executed?
