I have a small VB application using ADO with the Oterro 2.0 ODBC driver.
The application is just a test that issues select statements to my database.
The application works fine when run stand alone. However, when I try to
have my application and my RBase DOS application connected to the database
at the same time, one of them doesn't work. If I start the DOS app first,
the VB app will give me a "Unable to connect database" error. If I start
the VB app first, the DOS app will not start, and only go to an R> prompt.
I've tried everything I can think of with the .CFG files. Both RBASE.CFG
and OTERRO.CFG are seen by their respective applications, and both have the
same settings minus the username. MULTI is ON.
Can anybody offer me some insight?
