After 11 years programming in R:Base I have finally run into a user
interface challenge that only a temporary table, it seems, will resolve. I
have tested a solution using a temp table and it works, after trying a dozen
other approaches and hiding from my wife the dent in the wall where I had
been beating my head. Didn't need aspirin, though, as the temp table cured
the headache. Do other database systems sport temp tables? I have seen
nothing like it, for example, in Access.

I have not used temp tables before, couldn't even see where they might be
useful, so I hadn't bothered to become familiar with implementing them. But
I sure am glad that the feature was there when I needed it.

Thanks again to Razzak and company for such a great development platform
with which to work!
