I have had problems on some workstations, where, for example, I
wanted to "play" a Shift-F6 into a CHOOSE ... CHKBOX command so
that everything would be preselected. Sometimes it would not work.

On a hunch that it had something to do with timing, I added a couple of
keystrokes to the beginning of the playback file that, in effect, would be
keypresses that would have little or no effect on the screen during a
choose command. If either or both of those keystrokes got lost or
ignored, it would make no difference. Since adding those, the
CHOOSE has always come up with all choices pre-selected. I think I
just pressed a few space bars before pressing the Shift-F6.
