I also would like to see this topic discussed on the list.

We have been testing a W2K Terminal Server accessing an R:Base database on
an NT 4 Server.

It seems to work as expected, except that AUTOCHKs run on the databases on
the file server with this configuration run about 6 times slower than when
run from an NT or Win9x workstation.

Running the AUTOCHKs from a W2K Pro workstation also run at this very slow
speed.

AUTOCHKs run from a W2K Pro workstation on a local R:Base database run very
fast, however.

Our continuing tests will involve placing a copy of an R:Base database on a
W2K Server and also installing R:Base Runtime for Windows 6.5++ as well as
Terminal Server on it. We expect that since there will be no network access
of the database files because they will be local to the Terminal Server,
that throughput should be very high. I'll let the list know what we find.

I think this topic should be discussed on the list.
I would like to see this also.
