Yes, we have 12 stores, all in the same chain,
using pos in rbase. Also at the end of each day the main warehouse dials
up each store and downloads their sales, we keep their inventory at the central
location, determine the base level for each item, and automatically generate a
picking slip (or order) for replenishing their sales.
The central warehouse is using a combination of
R:Base dos and windows. Windows is 6.5++ dos is 6.5+ (will upgrade to ++
soon) stores are still on 4.5++
This same warehouse also takes phone orders, keying
directly into R:Base as well as internet orders (via email)which we are in the
process of automating)
So R:base does work for POS!!!
