You'll also have to add back any auotnumbering, comments and rules.
Here's another way to do this, and be able to easily retain all the other
pieces to the puzzle.
OUTPUT tablename.str
UNLOAD STRUCTURE FROM tablename
OUTPUT SCREEN
Follow Razzak's steps:
PROJECT TEMPORARY TableNameA FROM ActualTable USING +
ColumnList
DROP ActualTable
PROJECT ActualTable FROM TableNameA USING ALL
DROP TableNameA
RBEDIT tablename.str and remove the top section containing the CREATE TABLE
statement.
Leave the rest of the file as is - all the CREATE INDEX, AUTONUM, RULES,
COMMENT
and so on. RUN this file to re-generate all those processes on the revised
table layout.
But, yeah, it sure would be easier to just be able to move the column where
you wanted it!

And after a double PROJECT, you'll probably have to rebuild your
indices/indexes.

Dan,
03. At the mighty R> prompt:
PROJECT TEMPORARY TableNameA FROM ActualTable USING +
ColumnList
Using ColumnList is the KEY here ... Arrange it
anyway you wish ...
04. DROP ActualTable
05. PROJECT ActualTable FROM TableNameA USING ALL
06. Either DROP TableNameA or DISConnect to drop any
TEMPORARY Table(s). There you have it Your Way!
Have Fun!
Very Best Regards,
Razzak.

would not lose any data.
