Oterro and Time Field

I have a field in my DB defined as TIME.  When I retrieve the field using
Oterro (w/ ADO 2.7), instead of getting just a time like '09:00', I get the
current date along with the time '08/22/2001 09:00'.  Anybody have any
ideas?
