Alastair,

You'll NEVER regret to stay CURRENT!

And, we'll do everything possible we can, to help you.

As Sami has suggested, you may want to take advantage of SET LAYOUT option.

The BEST option to handle such data migration is to use the power of ODBC!

The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (version 6.5++) for Windows includes the updated
and enhanced ODBC driver.

. No UNLOAD and LOAD stuff ...

. Totally transparent and automatic ...

If you need more details and step-by-step instructions, please feel free
to contact me.

Migrating monster databases to R:BASE for Windows is one of my favorite topic!
Also, one of my presentation topics at the 2001 R:BASE Developers' Conference.

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
