Seems my problem was using F12 in dos.
Razzaks message says dos only supports up to F10.
Windows supports up to F12.

I changed it to [Alt][F10]  and it works.  F10 by itself, inserts a row so that didn't work

But a question --
In an exit eep id [Alt][F10] is mapped to [Enter] and the eep runs because i did [Alt][F10] which is the same as enter, and then when the action is complete, the cursor is still in the same field and you press enter to get to the next field, does the eep run again?

I appreciate all the help and it certainly is worth a donation to the Children's fund that you collect at the Developers Conference, and since I won't be there, I feel I should send in a few quarters -- can someone tell me where to send it?

I'll be off to France instead of the Developers Conference (my wife thinks that's more interesting than a conference she isn't interested in).  Oh well, I guess you know who's boss in my company.

Hope to see you all in 2002.
