Karen,

You have to send a NEWPAGE command
after you do a write to a printer.  But I doubt
that's the problem here?

R> OUTPUT LPT1
R> WRITE .vVarName
R> NEW
R> OUTPUT SCREEN

Another good test is to do a DIR > LPT1
at a DOS prompt and see if that works.
Again, you'd have to send a page feed if
the DIR isn't long enough.
