Phil,
You and your client(s) will NEVER regret staying current!
And, RBTI appreciates your support and patronage.
There are very obvious reasons here ...
01. Remember, upgrades and new versions are always released
with feedback and beta test by the current users of the
product.
02. The current product is always fine tuned to comply with
the latest operating systems available.
03. Sooner or later your clients or users of your wonderful
application are going to find out that there is an upgrade
and/or new version of R:BASE, Oterro and R:Tango with bug
fixes, enhancements, new features and new commands.
04. At some point they are going to move to a new and robust
operating systems and the old versions of R:BASE, Oterro
or R:Tango are NOT going to be compatible with the new
operating system.
Here is a typical scenario where folks are still pushing
and trying to make R:BASE for DOS 2.11 (13 years old),
4.5 (8 years old) 5.5 (6 years old) and 6.1 (three years
old) to run under the latest Windows 2000 operating system.
05. It is important for our support team to stay current and
support the current version.
06. Finally, we are doing everything we can to keep up with
the demands of our Loyal R:BASE Community.
Keep in mind, from a business perspective, if you don't take
care of your customers and provide them with the features, new
look, enhancements and the compatibility with their operating
system, someone else will.
Customers also appreciate when they are staying current.
On the other hand, RBTI and Current Developers/Partners will
do anything to support and help our CURRENT R:BASE Community!
Meanwhile, we'll continue doing what we are good at, and bring
the BEST of R:BASE!
Very Best Regards,
Razzak.
