Make sure you have full read/write access on the folder where the database resides.  Try connecting to a different database, one with no other users connected.

Subject: connecting database thru a VPN 6.5++ dos

I get the message:
Database currently unavailable -- it is probably open with multi set off.

But it isn't set off, there are several users connected.  show multi says  on.

I first create the vpn tunnel, and then load rbase locally.  I do J: to get to the database folder.  dir *.rb? show me that I am in the right place.  typing con brings up the box with the database name.  but then it won't connect.

I copied the .cfg file from another user and just changed the name field.

My gray hair is turning grayer!!  What else should I look at?
