First, I suggest that you read: 

. EEP Restricted Commands
. EEP Specific Commands

Click on "Syntax Reference" and then follow the table 
of contents for a specific topic. 

Meanwhile, you cannot CONNect database in an EEP for the 
following reasons:

01. An EEP is Form Specific 

02. A Form is Database Specific 

03. If you try to CONNect another database, guess what? 

    You know it ...

    First, you need to CLOSEWINdow, which closes the form.
    Then, in a command file, you CAN connect to another 
    database and go from there ...
