If clicked on, the .exe attachment will distribute itself to addresses taken from the address book, as well as making changes to the local system which may re-format the hard disk on the next reboot. Subject lines reported for the e-mail include: FW: Security Update by Microsoft. FW: Microsoft security update. FW: IT departments on state of HIGH ALERT. FW: Important news from Microsoft. FW: Stop terrorists computer viruses reign. FW: Terrorists release computer virus. FW: Emergency response from Microsoft Corp. FW: Terrorist Emergency. Latest virus can wipe disk in minutes. FW: Microsoft Update. Final Release Candidate. FW: New computer virus. If you are able to block mails based on these subjects then this is probably a good intermediate measure until anti-virus definition files are available. Reminding users not to click on attachments to unexpected e-mail messages is also, and always, a good idea.
