Carol,

The AUTONUMbered column(s) DO NOT increment when using
the RELOAD command.

To test this functionality:

01. Launch TGRB2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows (1.842xRT03)

02. CONN DBName

At the R> Prompt:

SET VAR vMax1 INTEGER = 0
SET VAR vMax2 INTEGER = 0

SELECT (MAX(AutoNumColumn)) INTO vMax1 INDIC IvMax1 +
FROM TableName

03. RELOAD ABName

04. CONNect ABName

At the R> Prompt:

SELECT (MAX(AutoNumColumn)) INTO vMax2 INDIC IvMax2 +
FROM TableName

SHOW VAR

05. Compare the results!

So, there might be something else going on, such as
attempting to use ENTER USING FormName .. command and
then canceling the attempt. In that case, even if the
actual row was not saved or inserted, it will increase
the AUTONUMbered column by 1, or whatever your criteria
may be.

Hope that helps!

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
