Hi

I have written several tools in Delphi that allow you to print and view
crystal reports.

My latest is a program that runs on the server and checks a report que table
in the database,
the table has following columns
1. report name - ie. crystal.rpt
2. PreSql - ie. update table set column to value where ...
3. Criteria - criteria passed crystal report - ie. {table.column} = value
4. PostSql - ie. del rows from table where column = value
this program polls the database every 30 seconds (or what ever time frame)
I use this program to print report from my tango app that don't need to
print to the screen, like label to special label printers.

I could quickly create a custom build, if interested contact me off list

Subject: Passing variables to programs outside of R:Base

Does anyone know if it is possible to pass variables from an R:Base
application to a program outside of R:Base like Crystal Reports using the
launch option?

I'd like to take some of the Crystal Reports that I've written, but use
the Choose command in R:Base to select a value to send to the Records
Selection in the Crystal Report.
