I wrote a page mode report that output a file, and then that file is printed on the parallel printer with the COPY command : COPY FileName LPT1 The report prints OK, so no problem .... except when the printer is unplugged or off line In this case, the app freeze indefinetly during the COPY. To resume, I have to connect a printer to LPT1 and set it on line. Or kill RBW with CTRL+ALT+DEL. Is there a way to tell RBW to attempt to send the file until a time out (10 seconds or so), and then resume and return an error code (similar that what happen when I try to record a file on a missing diskette) ? Or is there a way to insure that the printer is ready to receive data prior to begin printing ? TIA, J.M. GRATIAS, Logimatique, France
