If you are using R:BASE 6.1a and higher for Windows, 
I would recommend to use RBTI_NoStatus.

Your above post made me curious about your trouble, so 
I tried the scenario in my sample databases using the 
RBTI_NoStatus with all versions since the release of 
The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows, and 
I found no problem.
