I
successfully installed R:Base for Windows 6.5+ and Oterro 2000 (version 2.0)
under Windows XP Professional without any problem. Furthermore,
R:Base has worked well so far, and I can set up ODBC data sources
using Oterro under Windows XP.
It is a
different story when I tried to connect to an R:Base ODBC data source in Office
XP (running under Windows XP Professional). The following MS Query error
message pops up: "Microsoft Query has encountered a problem and needs to
close". Oterro works well with Office 2000. All settings in Oterro.CFG are identical
in both situations.
Any idea
why?
