I have a thought. In my Outlook I can reply to an HTML message, and convert it to plain text before sending it on.
Is there not a way that the list server could perform this plain text conversion on all messages? So many email programs have a mind of their own about the way they send emails, even after telling them to only do plain text. This kind of filter would make it easier on all of us. Leaving this detail to the individual, with new people coming on all the time, is just an exercise in frustration. -- Dennis McGrath mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Productivity Tools for R:Base Programmers http://www.enteract.com/~mcgrath/dennis -- Full time consultant with: SQL Resources Group Steve Hartmann Oak Park, IL mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Kayza Kleinman Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2001 5:50 PM To: INTERNET:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Higher Standard Message text written by INTERNET:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >However, it is more and more common that routine posts from people on this user group list come as formatted attachments to the empty covering email message. This includes alot of Razzak's messages. Everytime I bring up an email and see that the text is in an attachment, I have to pause whether to open it, especially if it's Razzak's. Lately I've been deleting these messages and hoping that someone else quotes the entire message in the text of their plain-text emails!! Karen< I fully agree. It's a shame, considering that the HTML is really not necessary for the stuff on this list. ================================================ TO SEE MESSAGE POSTING GUIDELINES: Send a plain text email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the message body, put just two words: INTRO rbase-l ================================================ TO UNSUBSCRIBE: send a plain text email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the message body, put just two words: UNSUBSCRIBE rbase-l ================================================ TO SEE MESSAGE POSTING GUIDELINES: Send a plain text email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the message body, put just two words: INTRO rbase-l ================================================ TO UNSUBSCRIBE: send a plain text email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the message body, put just two words: UNSUBSCRIBE rbase-l
