Kristie,

REAL is a very limited data type. Even though the scale of the 
numbers can be big, the accuracy is limited to 6 significant digits.  It's 
stored as only a 32 bit number in the database.

The best solution for you is to change the datatype to DOUBLE, which 
uses twice as many bits.

If changing the data type causes too many side efects in your 
database and application, in the report, you can create a DOUBLE 
type variable, and set it equal to the real number, but you will still lose 
accuracy.
