Paul:
To unload data to a CSV file including column names, I use a small program that uses
these commands as the core:
choose vtable from #tables at 1 10 lines 20
choose vclm_list from #columns in .vtable at 1 25 chkbox+
title 'Select Columns' lines 20
output filename.dta
WRITE .vclm_list
UNLOAD DATA FOR &VTABLE USING &vClm_List as ascii
output term
