Here's an example of Dos/Windows memory issues and how I use it to my benefit. Okay, I admit it, I'm a HEARTS junkie. When RBase for DOS is up (just sitting at the r> prompt, no network involved, win98), the cards pass between the hands very slowly. As soon as I close RBDos, the cards just FLY. I prefer the cards to move slowly, so I purposely load RBDos when I want to play.
RBase for Windows doesn't have this effect. The cards fly by for that. Interesting....
