Folks
I am restarting this thread as the terminal server thread has crossed James
Bowyer's original.
As I said in my last posting I thought the problem was the EEP code
processing before the form had been written to the screen. Once again I am
wrong.
By carefully placing a button under a choose box that fires up the form I
can now replicate the problem on a 1GH machine with the database running
locally. Single user no network connection. Here is a snippet of the code
that runs on the button:
$COMMAND
newquote
--called by New quote button on Contact_details form
PAUSE FOR 5 USING '5 sec delay before SAVEROW' --hoped this would fix it
SAVEROW
CLOSEWINDOW
RETURN --not normaly here for demo only
RUN retcont IN sales.apx
--get carriage
CHOOSE vchoose FROM #VALUES +
FOR (LJS(carriage_desc,40)&CTXT(carriage_cost)),stock_code +
FROM carriage +
AT 1 1 TITLE 'Choose carriage' CAPTION 'New quotation' LINES 20 FORMATTED
IF vchoose <> '[Esc]' THEN
I put the RETURN after the CLOSEWINDOW to isolate the rest of my code. My
theory was that the PAUSE would let things settle down, wrong again.
Any ideas? Any one else suffering or is it my dodgy code again?
I am trying to but together a demo app for the RBTI whizz kids.
