Just throwing something else into the ring... One of my sysop buddies is doing a rollout of 14 W2K servers. He is having to learn on the fly. Having many problems with slowness.
He's guessing that the problem is in the MS authentication procedures that are connected to Active Directory. Not yet clear on how to resolve or whether it is really an issue.
