Does it work in a one liner at the prompt?
Also, if you are developing in Winnt, I have had goofey things happen when I
have been working for hours doing debugging with a lot of errors occurring
during the debugging process and it seems that the environment becomes unsteady
and unreliable. I usually reboot and some of this stuff goes away
(mysteriously).
Also, I assume at this point, you have put
yourself back to a clean slate with some R & R, meaning a Reboot and a
Reload of the Database.

of two identical databases and this function works perfectly in one database
