To R:BASE Community: After an extended beta for over six months and MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS and BUG-FIXES for Oterro 2000 (ver 2.5), I'm pleased to inform you all of the official release on Thursday, December 27, 2001. My sincere THANKS to all managers of our beta sites, end-users and developers for their tireless efforts to help R:Team bring out the BEST of Oterro 2000 (version 2.5). I would also like to especially thank Mike Byerley (Bauerlie Development Corp.) and Neil Smith (Aspen Software, UK) for their untiring efforts and professionalism over the past six months in assisting R:Team debug and test all major enhancements and bug-fixes especially related to Stored Procedures/Triggers, ADO, Visual Basic and the Crystal Reports. Also, my sincere thanks to Harlan Haynie and the users of his huge beta sites in helping R:Team with AUTONUMBering and PK/FK related issues. Oterro 2000 (version 2.5) is the result of everyone involved with this huge project, especially the R:Testers. Without R:Testers, we simply could not have achieved what we have. Oterro 2000 (version 2.5) will be available as a minimal charge upgrade to all registered users of Oterro 2000 (ver 2.0), depending on their current user license version. A special version of Oterro 2000 (version 2.5) will also be available for R:Tango 2000 users.
