Robert,

If you_have_to minimize the form, you can always use the MDI
option when using ENTER USING ... or EDIT USING FormName.

Very Simple Example:

01. Launch The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows
(Build:1.850xRT03)

02. Change your default directory to:

C:\RBTI\RBWIN65\SAMPLES\CONCOMP

03. Create a quick command file with the following:

CLS
CONNECT Concomp
SET VAR RBTI_NOSTATUS INTEGER = 1
SET VAR vCaption TEXT = 'Check this out ...'
RHIDE
CLS
EDIT USING EMPLOYEE WHE COUNT = 1 CAPTION .vCaption
CLS
EDIT USING EMPLOYEE WHE COUNT = 1 MDI CAPTION .vCaption
RSHOW
CLS

04. Save the file and then use RUN FileName

Notice the difference. The second EDIT USING ... MDI option
will allow you to minimize the form!

For more details/features in 1.850xRT03, make sure to run
NEWSTUFF demo!

New Year Greetings to All! While playing around with the *New* features provided in the recently available in-line patch for 6.5++ (1.850xRT03), I have come across a question dealing with Forms... I have designed some fancy "touch screen" menu systems using forms. While the "menu" form is open, the user cannot minimize the application. I recall hearing of a new feature that allows greater control over the window controls in forms... Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks! - Rob Vincent R.A.V. Enterprises
