I have found a
problem with using applications express with the quotes setting at double
quotes.
When you use the @
symbol in the forms where clause with the double quotes setting, it will not
convert to a user dialog box when it compiles.
This is what is
looks like in the app file:
EDIT USING
vendorinsp
+
WHERE vendorinsp.inspect_date contains @ "Enter date"
WHERE vendorinsp.inspect_date contains @ "Enter date"
It should look
something like this:
SET VAR WHVAL1
TEXT
DIALOG "Enter Date"+
WHVAL1 WHTEMP 1
EDIT USING vendorinsp +
WHERE vendorinsp.inspect_date = .WHVAL1
CLEAR VAR WHVAL1
CLEAR VAR WHTEMP
DIALOG "Enter Date"+
WHVAL1 WHTEMP 1
EDIT USING vendorinsp +
WHERE vendorinsp.inspect_date = .WHVAL1
CLEAR VAR WHVAL1
CLEAR VAR WHTEMP
But if
you change to the single quotes setting, delete it, reenter it, and save it
work work fine but will not convert the previously made @ clauses that were
done in double quotes in the previous version of R:base.
I have have done it
with 6.5+ and previous versions but in 6.5++ and in 6.5++ patch 1
it don't work.
Has anybody ran
across this or can duplicate this??
