        I should have added the modifier "sometimes".  The message appears
properly when the print command is issued out of some, but not all, command
files.  I'm searching for what causes the difference.  I can print the
report out a simple command file and the keypress message appears as it
should at the bottom of the screen; however, in the application where it
matters, no message.  That's why I'm wondering if there is some setting I
don't know about.
