Ed,

Please tell us what version and build of R:BASE are you using?

It would be very helpful to the current users/developers of
R:BASE on this list to help you accordingly.

If you are using R:BASE for Windows, then, there has been a
few reported cases where NOTE fields have been acting strangely.

Buddy Walker (University of Pittsburgh, PA) and his 60+ users
in his department are running very complex reports, including
NOTE fields, reported a similar problem using the prior version
of R:BASE for Windows, before the release of R:BASE 2000
(version 6.5++) for Windows. They worked very closely with The
Dream Team and provided many samples to replicate the boo-boo.

The bug was SQUASHED, and has been proudly documented in the
CURRENT version of The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for
Windows, Build:1.850xRT03.

Make sure to read "More Enhancements" and "More Bug-Fixes"
section of this online presentation.

Meanwhile, change the font properties of NOTE field to MS Sans
Serif or New Times Roman and see what happens.

Good Luck!

Very Best Regards,

Razzak.
