An old trick is to ensure that the first two entries in your DOS PATH= statement are 
.;..;

This works for multiple versions if you always put the data directories as a 
subdirectory of the program directory:

C:\RBTI\RBDOS65\COMPANY1
C:\RBTI\RBDOS65\COMPANY2
C:\RBTI\RBDOS61\COMPANY3
C:\RBTI\RBDOS61\COMPANY4
etc.

Bill Downall will recall using this trick in the days of short DOS path strings. He's 
(almost) as old as I am.
