Triggers

Can anyone provide a simple sequence of events for using triggers

in an Rb2000 Windows 6.5++ database?

I understand the concept but have been unable to take my ASCII

trigger procedure and get it into the database.

I must be missing something rudimentary about "locks" because

I keep getting a msg indicating the procedure must be locked before

it can get "PUT" anywhere.

I'm all confused... and the on-line documentation along with the web

docs doesn't seem to help clarify the steps. (for me anyways)
