I am having a problem getting one of my workstations to print using
RBDOS 6.5++ Inline Patch 1. The workstation is running Windows 2000
Professional (SP2). This terminal has an HP 1200 Laserjet installed
which is connected through the network to another Win2K machine that is
sharing it. In RBDOS 6.5++ at the R> I type Out Pri (or LPT1) and then
print a report or even do a simple write "test", it comes back to the
RPrompt, but as soon as I type Out Scr, Rbase locks up and I have to
shut it down through task manager (also nothing ever prints). I have
setup the printer to port to LPT1, tried changing the spool settings,
and also changed it to print directly to the printer, but I get the same
problem. It works fine if the printer is directly connected to the
machine, I also have no problems on any Win98/ME machines. I have been
able to replicate this using a different Win2K machine and printer. For
some reason RBDOS 6.5++ freezes when ever I try to print to a networked
printer on a Win2K platform. Suggestions ??
