Sami/Gene,
Faced with a similar situation, the only item that was able to get my
database fixed was R:Scope.  It worked! And am now fully converted.

Here are a couple of things  to try -

1.  Check the file attributes of the database files - they may have been
left in "Read Only" mode.

2.  If that doesn't work, then
First, MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR FILES BEFORE YOU TRY THIS!

Restore a copy of just the rb1 file from your backup to overwrite the
corrupt rb1 file. Run RBSYNC and see if it lets you do a reload.

3.  Get a copy of R:SCOPE
