I am sorry I was not able to respond sooner for your posting.
If you are planning of using many of the features available in the .PDF format it is then worthwhile to obtain the full version of Adobe Acrobat 5.0. I personally, have both. The full Adobe Acrobat and I use the pdfwizard for production deployment. The customer does not need to spend > $250 for a .PDF window printer.
If you are interested in generating a .PDF file from any window printer output for a reasonable price then
for ~ 50.00 you can get this at
http://www.pdfwizard.com/zeoncom/
To set it up so that it prints without user intervention you can try the following assuming the pdfwizard pdf printer is
the default: DocuCom PDF Driver
You can control many of the window printer drivers under properties.
The key to automated operation is within the window printer's .INI file.
In your code you generate the window printer's .INI file, prior to executing the RBase's
OUTPUT PRINTER command.

-- This check to make sure the window printer is correct
IF (CVAL('CurrentPrinter')) <> 'DocuCom PDF Driver' THEN
PRNSETUP 'DocuCom PDF Driver'
ENDIF

I will be happy to re-visit the code I wrote, and send you a snippet. Send me a private email and I
will prepare something for you.
Good Luck,

What I mean by "default filename" is that when you pick a .pdf
print driver it comes up with the box asking for the filename.
I would like the program to work without user intervention, saving
the report automatically to a specific filename.
I saw a note from Razzak about a 'default setup' in the .ini file
for PDF files; maybe this where you could do it. But I wonder if
it would work with this cheaper Adobe-like product.
KarenExplain a little what it is you would like. "default filename???"
Maybe I can help.

Thanks! I downloaded the trial version and it works great.
At $49.50 a copy that's better than the full Adobe product.
I will let my client know. Wish there was a way to feed it
a default filename. Wonder if we'll be able to do that in
7.????
