When used with the >RUN command STP_RETURN would be set the same as in a STORED >PROCEDUE Jim, I can almost guarantee that you are NOT using the latest and greatest version of R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for DOS/Windows. MAJOR fixes and enhancements were included with the release of R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++), released on June 15, 2001 and then again on January 28, 2002 (Build:1.851xRT03). Everything is well documented in RBW65PP.TXT, RBW65PP1.TXT, RBW65PP2.TXT and RBD65PP.TXT, RBD65PP1.TXT and RBD65PP2.TXT. Also, follow the response from Mike Byerley on this list on Mon, 11 Feb 2002 17:05:09: ".. you MUST clear it. STP_RETURN holds the return value from your stored procedure. Its' DataType can change from one stored procedure Call to another stored procedure Call, so it must be cleared or it will throw an error (wrong type or scale)." ... Hope that helps!
