Ron,

I thought you had it. But including those two vars so that they 
appear in the variable list made no difference. I know they are being 
evaluated, as I made a mistake the first time and got an error  
message.

Also, while not numeric, zDisp is handled identically to zTax and 
zTotal. The zDisp field refreshes on recalc var while the region has 
focus, though zTax and zTotal don't refresh until you click into 
another table.
