James, Just starting running XP on my laptop, and all seems to work well. The only drawback is the limit on the window size (R:Base for DOS). Either you run full-screen (no task bar showing) or 1/3 screen, similar to NT and 2000. There doesn't seem to be any way to set any other intermediate window size as far as I can tell. The only other concerns are security related, if you are connecting to the internet, and the withdrawal of MS support for Netbeui networking. It's been a real pain-in-the-neck to get it connected to our network, since we don't run Netbios over TCP/IP.
