I find that permanent views are always a pain in the butt for this 
reason.  They are also dangerous as anyone with permissions can change them 
giving rise to duff information from theron.
For the sake of a line or two of code it is much safer to create a 
temporary view on the fly.

BTW on the topic of BACKUP and RESTORE has anyone noticed a variable amount 
of garbage in a BACKED up file within and following GRANT statements.  To 
date I have been unable to find the cause.  Fortunately GRANT statements 
are at the end of the file.
