Uhm, install R:Base for OS/2? (The properties allow you to specify whether clicking on the icon activates the instance already running, or starts a new instance.)
That was a joke, I suppose. MS technical support told me -- shortly after I gave up on OS/2 a few years ago -- that if you made R:Base for DOS full-screen, the user wouldn't be as likely to start multiple sessions... Actually, I haven't noticed it slowing things down much at all to have 5 or 6 sessions running, some DOS, some Windows. However, if you are memory-deficient, it would slow things down.
