  Did try newer drivers. Works the same on HP4 as well as HP 4050. Even
downloaded a newer Arial Font.
  Same results

In my case it was also Arial, but a different font size (I think 11) that
was involved.  Did you try updating printer driver?  If you do, please post
your results.
